Welcome to the 2016 Virginia Peninsula Swim Union (VPSU) Summer Swim Season. The VPSU was founded in 1969 by Mrs. Baker of Village Green, and has 19 neighborhood teams that bring the joy of competitive swimming the kids of the Williamsburg, Newport News and surrounding counties.

2017 Championship Meet Recap

Joelle Vereb of the First Colony Flyers set three meet records en route to a triple winner status in the Women's 15-18 Age Group.  New records included:

  • 100 IM - 1:05.83
  • 50 Free - 27.34
  • 50 Breast - 33.78

Three other records were also broken:

  • Flynn Crisci (Ford's Colony Killer Whales): 15-18 Men's 50 breast - 29.93
  • Ryan Griffith (Coventry Sailfish): 9-10 Men's 50 Free  - 30.70
  • Elizabeth Gregory (Kingswood Klams): 8&U 50 fly - 17.47

Flynn, Ryan and Elizabeth were also triple winners.  Other triple winners included:

  • Kailyn Buiski, 11-12 Women, Greensprings Gators
  • Elijah Fields, 11-12 Men, Queens Lake Eagles
  • Mary Gregory, 9-10 Women, Kingswood Klams
  • Jacob Sprigg, 13-14 Men, Windsor Forest Frogs
  • Kyleigh Tankard, 13-14 Women, Coventry Sailfish

The Greensprings Gators captured their 5th consecutive team title, with 1103 points.  The Kingsmill Sharks placed second with 1086.5 points, while the Kingswood Klams placed third with 940.5 points.
